About The Member

Kyle is aProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) with nearly 30 years’ experience working in Electrical Power Systems. Kyle's technical and project management expertise in high-voltage transmission includes a wide variety of projects ranging from small scale capital and maintenance projects to management of a highly complex multi-billion-dollar transmission project, including ac voltages up to 735 kV and dc voltages at ±350 kV. Kyle's experience includes all aspects of transmission system development, including concept analysis and selection, budget and schedule development and management, technical design (structures, foundations, equipment, and line routing and design) and management of engineering design activity and materials procurement, environmental assessment including public and stakeholder consultation, development and management of regulatory approval applications and reporting, construction management and commissioning. Kyle has experience in management of terminal station expansion projects (air and gas insulated) up to 230 kV. Kyle also has experience in the operation of other forms of power generation technology, including remote prime power diesel systems, hydroelectric systems, and gas turbines, and is expanding his knowledge into wind turbines and other energy storage systems.

Kyle holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (1995) in Civil Engineering from Memorial University and a Master of Engineering degree (2007), also from Memorial University, in Transmission System Structural Dynamics.
